I am an artist originally from Vancouver, Canada.
I studied Old Masters oil painting and classical sculpture before getting an undergraduate degree in Glassblowing in Calgary, Canada, and a Master's degree in Painting in New York City. I have travelled the world to study art and have taught oil painting in Italy, Canada, Mexico and the United States. My paintings are meant as mediations. I view the act of painting as entering into a state of conversation with the Divine. This is why I present my paintings on handmade shelves. They are altars. They are places for reflection and contemplation; places to connect and centre one's self and add small symbols and mementos of the places, and experiences that make us who we are. |
